A Continuing Conversation about Girls in the STEM programs on Friday's Point

We continue our conversation with coordinators and participants of the Tech Trek Camp held recently at Central Oregon Community College. The 5-day camp introduces girls entering the 8th grade to career possibilities in science, technology, engineering and math. It is also the end of the month and Bryn Hazell from the Center for Compassionate Living continues to explore strategies to deal with the damage of resentment.

Homelessness Marathon

In keeping with our commitment to bring you programming covering important local, regional, and national issues, KPOV will broadcast the Homelessness Marathon again this year.

The Homelessness Marathon is a unique radio program that gives homeless people and their allies a chance to speak to the nation about their experiences.

The annual Marathon features live reports, interviews with advocates and experts, and calls from listeners all over the country. Above all, the program centers the voices of homeless people talking about their real circumstances, obstacles, and potential solutions.
