KPOV to Broadcast 4 Peaks Music Festival June 22

KPOV is proud to broadcast live from the 4 Peaks Music Festival again this year. Our broadcast will take place June 22 from Noon to 10:00 p.m. on 88.9 FM, live streaming on, or on mobile apps.

4 Peaks is Bend’s multi-day family music and camping festival with local craft, food, and beverage vendors and Yurt and RV Rentals.

This year 4 Peaks features artists such as Los Lobos, Wood Brothers, Sonny Landreth, Billy Strings, Lil Smokies, Poor Mans Whiskey, and more. More info at

Cascades Academy Radio Show On Our Website

KPOV is proud to collaborate with students and teachers at Cascades Academy school in a course on music and society. Students did their academic work at Cascades Academy and came to KPOV to produce a 1-hour radio show with KPOV’s guidance.

It's Almost Summer. Time to Sign Up for KPOV's Summer Youth Radio Camps!

Do you know an aspiring DJ between the ages of 10 and 14? Or someone who wants to have fun learning how to create and edit audio content? If so, KPOV's Summer Radio Camps are just for them! Camps will be held June 24-28, July 15-19, and August 5-9. All camps are from 9 a.m. to noon at the KPOV studio.

Youth Radio camp teaches youth what it’s like to be a DJ, record interviews with friends, talk live on the air and tell stories with sound effects, music, and humor. KPOV will also work with the group to produce a one-hour radio show broadcast on KPOV’s Youth Radio Hour and made into a digital copy campers can share with friends and family.

“Historic Moments of Central Oregon” Airing on KPOV

KPOV is now airing “15 Minute Histories,” rebroadcasting stories told by Central Oregon pioneers and settlers to KBND’s Kessler Cannon in 1953. This recorded series comes out of a collaborative effort between the Deschutes County Historical Society and Deschutes Public Library. KPOV will play two oral histories each month on The Point between 9 and 9:30 am, on the second Friday and third Wednesday in a segment called “Historic Moments of Central Oregon.”
